Many of those who wish to find a free way to get a .com domain name have tried long and hard to uncover a hidden nich in the fabric to label our own hosted site. I have uncovered this nich and, for those who can't possibly believe that you can get a .com domain name for free, it is very simple. One word. ezyrewards.
That's right. ezyrewards.com. It is a place where people get free things by gaining points doing simple things like completing surveys, or just entering an email.
I have gathered a list of steps to get your own domain name in about a weeks time.
1. Create a fake email address. If you currently use Gmail, don't bother. They offer a spam removal service.
2. Go to http://ezyrewards.com and sign up for an account.
3. Click "Offers" and start clicking on links and complete what's required (Note: you MUST use the email that you used for ezyrewards.com otherwise it will not credit your account.
4. You need 300points for a .INFO doman name and 1000 points for a .COM domain name.
5. Once you reach your goal. Go to Optinom.com, sign up and make an account.
6. Go back to ezyrewards.com and click "Claim reward" and click the prize you want.
7. Your account on Optinom will be credited and you will be able to create a .com or .info doman name! For free!!
Tips:
1. To save a ton of time with the surveys, i used the AutoFill feature of Google's Toolbar.
2. If you receive spam from the offers, and you use Gmail. check all the messages that you consider spam, and click "Report Spam". This will get rid of it for good.
3. Make sure sign up for Optinom BEFORE you claim your prize.
4. If you go for the 1000pt .COM domain name, free hosting is available.
5. Go for the highest point valued offers. This saves you time as it only requires about 10-15 offers to do, depending on the offer's point value.
